The Vision:
I saw a builder who has erected an enormously
large tent, like that of a circus tent. The inside view was of a small
group of people genuinely enjoying a home fellowship together, really
happy. As the builder tries to stabilize the largeness of the tent for
a comfortable dwelling place, however, he damaged a small pole of the
tent. It did not seem to affect the tent as much since it was such a
huge tent. Then the scene shifted to a member of those who lived in the
tent, deeply grieved, in a room with another older person.
The Interpretation, Message, and Exhortation:
The
builder symbolized a group of people with a principle one. The member
in the room symbolized a group of people with the person as the
principle one. The tent symbolized the home fellowship of this group of
people. The happiness inside the tent symbolized the joy and
relationships of the among the people. The tent was never supposed to
be be of that huge size. But in the builders' good intention to provide
for all those in the tent and themselves, the overstretching of the
tent has caused a problem. This glitch of the tent is part of the
reasons that caused grief to the particular member in the room in the
other scene. The major reason was that the tent is only a temporary
dwelling place. They need to understand that a physical tent is not a
physical house, as it only serves a temporary function. The home
fellowship is to be a fun and meaningful place as a tent to a trip or
vacation in the natural lands. However, though the tent symbolizes that
the form of the fellowship is not going to be permanent, but the
relationships will be. The people need to see that the primary cause of
the glitch and the sadness of the people is due to the lack of
understanding that this fellowship is only meant to be temporary (a
tent), and it is not to be built beyond its original designed limit (so
when the builders tried to go beyond, it caused a small damage by
overstretching it).
The encouragement given was, these people should take their focus away from the form
of the relationships, but on the relationship itself. The form may
change but the interpersonal relations will not. The "tent" was
ordained to bring joy and pleasant memories that will continue in other
forms in the Master Plan of the Builder in Heaven. Therefore, take
heart and be of great courage, strength, and joy. Leave the sadness and
go on to embrace the new with all the on-going precious experiences and
relationships with you. This was also a personal note to love the one
particular member, and love very gently. It was a reminder that
confirmed previous promptings of the Eternal Builder. It is also a
reminder that one should always be sensitive to the Will and leading of
God instead of one's own. However, there is no condemnation but
applause from Him. As long as a heart is filled with love motivations,
love will always cover a multitude of honest mistakes and weaknesses (1
Pet 4:8).
